Plastic Bottle Preforms 😍
The dictionary describes ‘preform’ as the “form or shape (of something) beforehand”. Plastic preforms consist of a fully formed (meaning this part doesn’t change) bottle/jar ‘neck’ and a thick tube of plastic (like a test tube) which is then blown and moulded into the desired shape of a bottle/jar. Put simply, a plastic preform is what a bottle looks like before it becomes a bottle!
We think preforms are pretty cool and hope after learning more about them from this weeks Friday Feature that you will too πŸ’™
Keep an eye out for an insightful video that shows the preform being blown and moulded into a bottle, it’s coming soon. If you have any questions about our range, please get in touch.
